It’s always lovely to come back to Bergen. But there is something special about watching my kids play all day and sleepover at night with their cousins and second cousins. It reminds me of my childhood summers when we’d come to Baugtveit, and non stop play with our many cousins…trying to speak Norwegian, tasting new foods, hiking the mountain and exploring on the farm and in the city.
My kids grew up with these two cousins when they were in Boulder, and it’s like no time has passed when they are together. They giggle all day, snuggle at night and adventure in the same ways I did as a kid. We are going to miss them so dearly when we leave, but knowing we are so much closer than before makes me so happy!
